This year, we’re building on the Tofino Oyster Fest legacy by adding a deeper layer of purpose by turning Oyster Fest into a fundraiser supporting two incredible local charities: Redd Fish Restoration Society and Food Bank On The Edge.

Mermaid’s Ball

Tofino Community Hall
Let’s have a (costume) ball! This year’s Tofino Oyster Fest kick-off event is the Mermaid’s Ball, an elegant and electric costume party that features live music, live shucking and live-ly libations. The theme? Oyster Fest from Tofino’s past. Think vintage Oyster Fest, classics, and old favs!
Enjoy both raw and cooked oysters from the best shuckers in the industry, while our local bartenders pour up bubbles, beer, wine, and whiskey. Meet on the dance floor for some classic rock tunes from the featured band (TBA), followed by a late-night live DJ set by Jess Rabit. Be sure to make a splash with your attire — prizes are awarded for best costume!
Doors open at 8 pm. Drink tickets are available for purchase on-site. Cash and credit are accepted.
Oyster Festival Gala

Tofino Community Hall
This spe-shell weekend continues at the Oyster Festival Gala, hosted at the Tofino Community Hall in the heart of downtown Tofino. An intimate, cocktail-style evening where Tofino’s top chefs serve up the region’s best oysters. Guests sip, sample, and vote on their favourite, crowning the “Best Tofino Oyster” of 2025. And that’s just a little drop in the bucket — this indulgent celebration is complete with live music, a welcome bevy upon arrival, and much dancing to be had.
We’ll also host a live auction during the evening to raise funds for our featured local charities. It’s that perfect blend of party and purpose — the ultimate feel-good night for a coast we love!

Shucker’s Showdown

Tofino Community Hall
It’s a match of the mollusk mavens! Champion Shuckers from around the world gather at the Tofino Community Hall to go tête-à-tête for the title of top Tofino Shucker. Watch the showdown while learning pearls of wisdom from our Champion Shuckers. New to shucking? No problem — there’s a competition for our Amateur Shuckers too. This brawl of the bivalves closes out the Festival, making it the Sunday Funday event you won’t want to miss.
Doors open at 4 pm. Family-friendly, all-you-can-eat oysters + additional food and drinks on site.
